Name change request!!

[b] Was wanting to make a name change request for my magen warrior Fataledge... I was wondering if I could have it as Fatal Edge.. the mashed together looks terrible and would make everyone happier I think!

Names with spaces can cause compatibility issues that can result in players not being able to communicate with you and/or you receiving other people's private messages

I was under the impression that name changes were not normally granted except to change offensive names. In case that has changed, sorry for butting in and pretend i didn't say anything

I'm not sorry for butting in, but... I say change it to Fatal Edge. Are we really gonna miss out on anything good if communication is hampered? I dont think so.

As a general rule we do not change names unless they are deemed offensive or inappropriate.

The reason being that, even off a small player base, we get dozens of requests to change names.

If we did then the confusion that would follow is significant where not only would players lose track of who and what but so would the admin.

You live and die by your name. You are identified by your name and your history, good or bad , follows your name. If your name changed every week then you could do something and then change names and no one who know what you did.

Over time you build a reputation and by that reputation you are known within the game. Other players know you and so do the staff.

However, there is nothing to stop you creating a new character called Fatal and building him as you wish.

Fataledge is kinda offensive. In norse mythology, a minor god name Fataleorg (tranlated to english as Fataledge), his name was used as a curse and a demeaning term used to cowardly men and women... The story behind using fataleorg as an offensive word comes from the myth (not fact) that he led a large army of human slaves to try and overthrow Odin as king of gods. A swear word is a swear word, no matter how old it is.

Sorry but you need to know the admins well enough to get a name change.
I'm only referring to a certain sorc gone necro that's had about 3 name changes.

I second swainhi's motion. Let's take a vote.

It was mistranslated it roughly meant " Daddyonine" so change my name to CoCoTheEasterBunny so im less offensive who cares what it was translated to its not the original spelling or pronunciation so fail......
