As a general rule, the rules that we tend to ask you to adhere too are tighter than you will see on general TV and probably more akin to what would be on a family channel.
There are many examples of words and actions and images that you can find somewhere on TV that we will not accept.
On the auto filter there are several thousand words on the file. I really do not intend to list them here.
This game is free and open to all ages.
We encourage families and younger players as well as the older and more hardened veterans.
The standards are aimed at a safe environment for kids.
That is what I liked about this game and why I eventually became a staffer. My kids used to play and there have been many other chldren over the years.
Sometimes it may appear that we are overly strict and there may be times that we are not 100% consistant. This may be caused by many different circumstances including interpretation of the boundaries, different staffers, level of experience (staffer and player), distractions, local culture and lingo etc. In a few cases it can also be that repeat offenders get less tolerance.
The staffers are human and all people will have some degree of variances. None of us (that I am aware of) like the role of policeman. It is a necessary activity that we ask them to do but the least favoured of all the staffer tasks. Most people adhere to the guidelines (without a prescriptive list of words). If they step over the boundary and a staffer advises them then they move on and the issue is over.
I really would not suggest dending a tell to the staffer and repeating the same word again. this is not likely to improve the situation.
If you feel someone else is misbehavig then do feel free to advise the staffer.
If yiu feel there is a serious abuse of power by any admin then feel free to email the gods. However, please do so in the context of what I said above.
This may be a bit long winded but it is almost 1am on the morning after Christmas Day. I hope it helps to put it all in persepective.
Merry Christmas
