Just wanted to add to Diehard's thread in regards to a possible resolution to the depot

I remember playing a server that allowed for your depot to be used without any expense.

Could a free depot be a possible introduction to resolve any theft issues?

This perhaps should be addressed in brainstorm but I figured i was a continuation of Diehard's post so put it here.

That is a very good suggestion. It is something that i've wished to see implemented for a long time. I think this could solve some issues with the clan floor depot problems but then again it should also allow items like ice eggs to be deposited.

I don't mind the payment feature to depot, but I think it is too much. Very few people use it as it is now, and you said in other post that it is a gold sink. If you asked everyone who logged on how many of them actually used their bank depots very few would say they do, it costs too much. I used to use it on my main, but removed all of my armors that were in there and that was it because they only costed like 18s/day so was like w/e. If it was a 1 time fee to put an item in the depot, they might get used more then but until then I will just make random depot chars to store my expensive stuff on.

If I recall correctly it was this server and the code is still there.
It was turned off prior to me joining the staff so I am not sure what the issues were or the reasoning.

+1 ! at least ive been playing champion toons and yes, i need to carry all scrolls with me just coz they cost loads to keep em for future use hehe

+1, also is it possible to create a command like /give or /transfer (name) while you hold an item on the cursor? makes transferring items easy Very Happy

This will never happen, that is what GIVE is for, this could also cause issues or be abused by giving items to people in wrong zones.
Yes it could be coded to only be allowed inside certain areas, but you can GIVE super quick either way...

You can unload a full inventory of gdukies in like 20-30seconds, no need for a command to do this.
