So you do all the work to get to AH. Go to the trouble to max concentrate and meditate. Then someone comes along and decides that you can only comp 3 at a time! 3-really! What else besides comp do you actually need those skills that high. It wasn't broke so someone though it need to be fixed. I guess politicians are everywhere.

Well, thinking about it I can see the point of the change. I was able to pent brigs as a lt col sorc on a rpot because I had compulse ss gear and lots of gmanas. The rpot was more so for the concentrate/meditate/bless bonus then anything. On a gmoon I was able to compulse nearly the entire area and i got spammed YOU WILL DIE! haha. It was tons of fun, i had to be careful though not to let the brigs touch me or i'd be killed pretty quickly. But lets be honest, it was pretty over powered. On lab 11, I compulsed a few of the lt gen barbs when trying to walk tough to the door. Made the lab pretty easy Very Happy I too went thought the effort to raise concentrate and med so I could sustain that without gmanas, but looking on the bright side I can pretty much perma stun with no worries on mana. Unlimited compusions was one of those "too good to be true" things I think.

Was compulse over powered? Yeah, probably. Will I make a temp or a warrior alt now? possibly, but the skill is still pretty awesome. I mean, having 3 high ranked monsters follow you around? Pretty awesome I think. Beats having a GC, just wish they lasted longer then 30 minutes.

How can you not see it needed to be change? how can you one call being able to instantly kill a whole room of NPCs in one go an equal move?

Please rectify you facts. Kill instantly a room of npcs is not the case. Not to mention that it has a significant mana cost. So don't blow it out of proportion either.

Ok I have a serious problem with the new comp changes.

I have no problem with limiting it to 3, but for the love of God, please allow us to /killspawn. Either that or if I comp an NPC when I already have 3, it transfers my older comp for the new one I just comped.

Made the wrong mistake to comp in VoD then went to prison without transfering. Had to run prison without comp since they lasted 30mins Sad

So you can only comp 3 enemies now? How things have changed. It has been about 1 year since I last played, during which mass change surrounding loosening restrictions where top of the agenda, second only to new improved areas.

I have now spent the last hour reading the forum and familiarising (I'm Australian that's how we spell it) myself with the latest updates and game changes. All that seems to have happened is a reverse of what was once promised. Stricter rules, reduced player association and shiithouse admin suggestions taking priority over useful player suggestions.

I can't say I'm too excited to return and play this 'new improved Aranock.'

I suggest admin take a particular interest in what Asmodeus has to say, he seems to be on the ball with every remark he makes.

I find it pretty interesting that people keep bringing up the "stricter rules" - So we made leading consistent so it applies to every area now (minus labs, of course), whereas before it didn't apply to areas that took what, 2 hours to complete? People need to grasp that all changes are reversible as well.

A little community support goes a long way, rather then animosity, especially for the people who VOLUNTEER their TIME and MONEY (In the case of LL) to this game.

This seems to be true. Quite a few players are getting annoyed with this lately.

Even worse, admins ideas are going live without any feedback from the players. Even if all the players scream don't change it (e.g a skill) it doesn't matter it will be changed within a few days.

Lets get some things straight because you might not have a grasp of what community management is. No one cares that you can't lead in u3 anymore which is pretty much what your consistent no-lead rule did. Like 2 people did in the past year, no one cares about that. What they care about is why and how you did it.

You took a rule that has been contested for years. A rule that you before becoming a dev has consistently said it is garbage. And now you sit here in front of us justifying the wonders of your decision. Players have quit over the rules and you go backwards. You forget that everyone playing this game is passionate about it and loves it. You don't fck with that.

You make changes which appear on your changelog and you then get all smug about it. Like it was the epitome of genious. When people complain about bugs, you brush them off like they are lying. When people question your dev'ed areas for consistency or quality, you snap get defensive. When I told you about Gen and FDM sections having 2x the respawn time on scroll skels. You said it was not an issue as everything had the same respawn time, then you retracted and said it was intended to give more time for melee classes to kill monsters. Makes no sense putting a respawn on 12 minutes to allow players to kill everything. They have to fight the room twice for one scroll.

Instead of having to fight and defend everything you do, you could simply be open with community. You have always believed that your ideas are better than others. And that has really begun to show in the dev process. Before you started working on the server, LL would post everything and ask for ideas from the community. Ever since then we find ourselves with class changing "reversible" changes. It isn't reversible bro. You justify everything you do. Ogh this was necessary! Therefore we won't reverse it. What is the point in posting and doing anything?

You change something that imbalances the game, changes playstyles significantly and then block off. You don't allow use to prove our points unless we do significant testing for which we do not have the tools.

These examples are only here to further the point. That community tension is something that you can easily control and easily dissipate. You just have to spend 10minutes per day on forums to answer questions in a polite and understanding manner. You aren't talking to adults when you fck up their class. You are talking to butthurt players who have 17 years of history with this game. Act like it.

The argument that LL is paying for the server and doing this free is true. But don't forget that 50% of us are ready to fork out money to keep this game alive. Don't take our passion for granted. This comment is just misinformed. Over the years dozens of players have offered financial support to jasmine and the server.

I suggest you review your internal process instead of dismissing players. I can say that this is relatively new in the dev process so I have to wonder if it stems from Motoko. Either or, people get upset. Just post a damned priority list. Let people theorycraft. Let them know where you are at. What you are planning. And players will go along with it. Now, we look at what is next on chopping block. Because players are no longer consulted. Players no longer have any role in dev process and then we see what we believe is one players ideas being put first while a bunch of posts in the brainstorm section are amazinng.

FYI: I am not mad, I am not upset, I am content with the server. I am merely trying to point out events and situations that make tension.

Also Motoko, I will give you a piece of advice. Don't take the high ground with players. You do spend your time being a dev which is much better than when you spent your time being a troll/reg. player. But let me remind you, if you wee wee players off... They will do like diehard and quit. Litterally we lost one of our most active members over a dumb situation that should have not happened. This has been the case many times (I am not saying it was you). So understand that even if you guys pay for the server, without players, this game dies. Have a bit more respect the other way around and it will do wonders.

Sorry for long post, I felt that somethings needed to be said. Hope you get the essence of my point.

Tbh, I like Moto better as a player. Very consistent player we have lost.

One thing I've learned over the years is being a member of admin makes the game loose it's "spark" and it becomes more of a job then a source of enjoyment.

Think about the times you where a player or get on an alt (non God/imp/staff) and enjoy the game for what it's always been. You'll loose sight of what makes this such a great game and end up quiting for sure.

ABOUT MOTO

As an admin Moto takes everything personally:
1)thralls Champion Ice Gargs on top of me in Amanar's LQ trying to get me killed. (/kill'ed them after I recalled/before the others arrived) 1/6 8:30PM EST
2)stays /invis and taunts me in /tells.(see screenshots at bottom) Anonymous and one-sided without being able to /tell back.

As a person Moto doesn't apologize for his own mistakes:
1)never apologized when Lissa couldn't get into Everwood using the portal he has modified. Wasted Lissa a few hours.
2)never apologized when his NPCs crashed the server few days ago causing the discussed huge rollback.

As a developer Moto ignores the voice of the community:
1)changed the leading rule without a single poll
2)messing up with all the spells causing these posts

As a forum member Moto isn't contructive:
1)having one-sentence replies lacking details
2)always in a negative tone
