| I would like to dedicate this thread to the discussion of poetry, and to start things off, i will quote my favorite poem: Self-Pity by D.H. Lawrence.
I never saw a wild thing sorry for itself. A small bird will drop frozen dead from a bough without ever having felt sorry for itself.
Even though it is short, its meaning is profound, it reminds us that the greatest burdens are those that are imposed upon us by ourselves and that sometimes they are misplaced. Feel free to discuss this poem, your favorite poem, or even poems you have written. | |
