does anyone know where i can get one so i can run the game off windows 8. or can you run it off windows 7... i got a disc of that

With windows 7 you need to;
right click the application
left click properties
click on the tab "compatibility"
tick "run this program in compatibility mod for:"
select "windows vista" (or other, depending on what works for your OS)

would it be easier if i just installed windows 7 on my laptop and did it that way

I have Vista and I run it in XP compatability mode but it is not 100% stable.
I believe you can run it similar in Win 7 but not 100% sure.
Windows 8 is definitely a problem.

I prefer to run on an XP Virtual machine but you do need a set of XP disks to be able to do that. The VM software is free.

There are two common Virtual machines (VMs) that you can run and both do similar things.

Oracle Virtual Box and Microsoft Virtual PC. I have both and both work but they take a little bit of effort to install and get working.
The main problem is that you need the system disks for the operating system that you want to install.

In my case I have old Windows XP disks from PCs long gone so I can use these.

Install the VM software.
Create a new Virtual Machine.
Insert the Win XP disks (or whatever OS you want to install)
Start the empty VM that you created and it should try to install from the disks.
Then you should have Win XP on a virtal machine and you can install any software you like on it, including Aranock.

In theory you should also be able to create a Windows 7 VM but that will not be as stable as an XP VM.

The problem is that client software graphics interface is no longer supported by Bil gates and his team.

Game works perfectly at school, windows 7. Didn't have to do xp compatability mode.

Talk to my son Wulf or Therisinknight He has figured out a way that does not require an ISO but uses something from microsoft and vitrual box (not the xp iso itself and is legal might I say).

Thanks Fazza that is what i did a couple a days ago it works only its a little weird looking but it works perfectly.
