| I downloaded Aranock yesterday did what i was supposed to , to get it to run on windows 7. When i try to log in it says cannot establish connection to server, but i clearly have internet and it seems the server is up and running fine. Can someone help me resolve this issue? | |

Run the .exe as administrator and set compatibility to win xp service pack 3. | |

| yes i did that from what i can tell ive done everything right but it says cannot establish connection | |

| when i click troubleshoot it says aranock isnt compatible but im running on windows xp service pack 3 | |

| The most common problem with Windows 7 & 8 occurs after you have entered the game and you get a black screen. This is caused by windows dropping support for Direct Draw.
From your description it sounds like you are not getting that far and you are still on the login window.
In Windows, click Start. When the menu pops up in the Search or Run box type "Command" and select it. You should now be in the DOS command prompt.
Type ping 69.60.111.188
This will test if you can connect to the server.
If you can not then this is a network issue at your end. If it does ping successfully then there is another problem you are having.
Right click on Aranock.exe. Select compatibility tab and change it to run in Windows XP compatibility mode. You may need to select run as Administrator in Win 7 for some reason.
Double click on Aranock.exe. The login window should appear. At the top it should say v2.50.07. Click Create New Account. You should then enter the game.
Let us know at what stage this fails and what you see.

| Try using SP2. I had the same problem and this seemed to help. Also, make sure your anti virus isn't blocking in the game from loading. | |

| tried SP2 and turning off anti-virus program still nothin i dont get it ..........its frustrating | |
