We all heard it. Your parents or grandparents remininsing about the good ol' days; cheap gas, cheap cigarettes, better family values, yadda yadda yadda. Well I find myself speaking to my duaghters the same way. Case in point here is a conversation I had with one of them the other day:
"When I was a boy, my Momma would send me down to the corner store with a dollar, and I'd come back with five pounds of potatoes, two loaves of bread, three pints of milk, a pound of cheese, a can of coffee,4 cnady bars, and a dozen eggs."
"Wow" she said, "things were really cheap back then."
"Nah, not really" I replied. "Just not as many security cameras back then."
