| Hi there, just some clarification on the spelling alts rule. Every time i attempt to spell an alt i go 'poof' and we both explode. Every time i ask some1 else to try it they get away with it just fine. There is only one other person I have seen try it and explode.
Is there exceptions to the rule? ie being in grouping range, or being put on a watch list?. i dont think this is the case because im pretty sure i spelled an alt 2 ranks different and we both died.
Can I suggest that you be allowed to spell your alt if in grouping range? the current rule defeats the purpose of having several alts. If you build a strong char you should be allowed to assist yourself in spelling yourself (within grouping range). This is especially apparently since 90% of the time i come on it is just me and maybe 1 other player. If your a temp it is impossible to have another player spell you.
Let me know what other players think? but i urge admin to consider allowing alts to be spelled within grouping range.

| Some rules do seem to be obsolete, there aren't enough players to justify rules such as the "no spelling alts" rule. Very rarely do you have the chance to actually group with someone your own rank or ask someone online to spell you, this isn't MOA, there is no strong player base unfortunately :/ | |

| Start of rant!
The rules are the rules unless they get officially changed. It is a sad part of life that people can not just make up their own rules just because they feel like it and because they want to do something different. Otherwise I would be able to drive at 200kh down the freeway and everyone else would have to give way to me because I just made that the new rule.
Just because you do not like a rule does not mean that you can just ignore it and expect no consequences.
There is a no spelling alts rule. It is related to the dual logging rule.
Some players have repeatedly ignored those rules. The system traps these players and reports them. Repeat offenders, who have been clearly warned, get a self destruct flag set on those repeat offending alts and death is the consequence. Harsh, possibly! But it has only been applied to those who have repeatedly and knowingly broken this rule! I do periodically trawl throuh the logs looking for the offending spellers.
Now having ranted and raved on about this .... Occassionally rules do change. We have discussed them and after concensus amongst the admin community we have changed them. Often the rule changes or system amendments have come from the "vast" playing community. When the changes occur, they are announced.
You can suggest changes and some will happen, others will not.
Until the changes are announced, the rules continue to apply and they will be enforced. Sometimes you may get away with it, other times you will not. Do not be surprised if you decide to break the rules and then bad things happen.
End of rant!! | |

Didn't you just make up this rule? because you felt like it? The community is almost extinct and i know Scofield quit last week having exploded from this 'rule.' We are all here because we enjoyed playing v2 and the rules that came with it. why persist with new rule changes that do nothing beneficial for the game but rather discourage people to play.

| I vote we abolish dual logging all together. Too many of our players are abusing it. | |

| I like this rule actually, I think dual logging is necessary in some ways to transfer items and such but spelling alts would be cheap. Temps are already ridiculously over-powered and making it so your warlord arch-harakrim can spell him at any time doesn't sound like something that would make the playing field anymore level. Thrice, you must remember this isn't the original v2, there are new things in place that make it so this rule became necessary.(Like clans) So I disagree with Twin and Thrice, I think we should leave it like it is. | |

| I'm in agreement that dual logging for the purpose of spelling an alt for PvP is a step too far, not so much in PvE. | |

| I also like this rule. dual log ok, power level yourself not ok. I also appreciate the humor in LL's solution.
It's the leading rule that stinks... If two REAL, separate people wanna go hunt, I don't see the harm in them being far apart in rank.

| Sigh!
I think this has wandered a bit.
Anyway, no changes to the rules are currently proposed on under this topic.
